Meet Adam, the lender who actually likes the math.
From a Detroit upbringing to the Toledo firehouse to a master’s in finance, an unlikely path into mortgages, and exactly why I look at your loan differently.

From Detroit, to the firehouse, to your closing table
I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, then headed off to Spring Arbor University, a small, private Christian college, where I studied biology, genetics, and biological chemistry. In my final year I took an interest in economics, and little did I know how much that elective would alter my path.
After graduating, I followed in my father’s footsteps and started my career as a firefighter with Toledo Fire and Rescue. I earned the rank of lieutenant, one of my proudest achievements, and had the honor of commanding some of the finest-trained men and women in the industry.
While serving, I kept studying economics, concentrating on residential real estate investing. It was the middle of the Great Recession, and the value of owning a home was being completely redefined. I wanted a portfolio of my own, but I had very little money, a modest government salary, and a large pile of student loans. After getting a “no” from every lender I spoke to, I sat down and read through the mortgage guidelines myself to find a way to buy. Eventually I purchased my first home, and many rentals after it.
Then I went back to school for a master’s degree in finance, became a licensed mortgage loan officer, and set out to help others reach the dream of home ownership. Today, as a direct lender, I underwrite and fund loans in-house, so I can give you straight answers, solve the tricky files, and get you to the closing table.
“Real estate is America’s most historically proven asset class, and for most families, the most reliable tool for building wealth.”
